This August, I had the pleasure of photographing a gorgeous brunch wedding in Covington, KY at the Embassy Suites Rivercenter. It’s a stunning venue, where my couple married on a rooftop terrace facing Cincinnati’s perfect skyline.
Zach and Alysia were an absolute blast to work with — he was so goofy and fun, and she was so cheerful and beautiful. Both were very family oriented, and I feel it’s clear in the pictures how connected they are with all of their guests.
Another great thing about this wedding: my husband was the officiant and DJ. I always love getting to work weddings with my husband ❤ not only do I get to partner with my best friend, but everything is so fun for the guests and always runs so smoothly because he’s truly great at everything he does.
The first picture that I took of Stacey and Rob was when I was photographing their friend’s wedding. I captured an image of them sharing a romantic moment on the dance floor, and they loved it so much that they booked me for their own wedding!
These two are absolutely adorable together, they smiled every time their eyes met. Our session was very natural and fun, almost as if we were hanging out as friends. I cannot wait for their wedding next year at the Newport Aquarium!
Stacey’s hair and makeup was done by Sarah Crain.
Session Location: Ault Park, Cincinnati
I absolutely loved this wedding. Meagan and Seth were so kind and accommodating, as well as tons of fun (which will be very clear just by looking through all of the pictures!) She told me at the meeting that they both shared a big appreciation for photography, so it was an honor that they chose me to share their day with them. Congratulations, Meagan and Seth!
This wedding took place at the beautiful Lake Lyndsay in Hamilton, OH.
I think I’ll kick everything off with this image, one of my favorite bridal headshots ever ❤
Here’s a shoot that I’ve been wanting to do since last Summer, and didn’t get around to it until this August. 🙂 I took a few of my favorite mermaid-esque models, along with my creative partner-in-crime Sarah Crain, to the beach at Hueston Woods. We layered a literal ton of shiny tulle and netting on our models to create a beautiful tail.
Hair and Makeup (and let’s be honest: most of the tail crafting lol): Sarah Crain
Taylor DiazMercado (our Pacific/cold water mermaid)
Katie Feeney (our Atlantic/warm water mermaid)
Here are highlights from another fun shoot I did for Downlite. This was a smaller-scale shoot, just me and my talented model/friend Kat in my little Hamilton OH studio. It was a great time 🙂 and she got to participate in my Chiaroscuro project afterwards (which I will be blogging about shortly!)
I was extremely excited to get a beauty dish for my strobe, a light modifier that I had never used before. This was my first time using a strobe outdoors, as well. I have to say that I absolutely love the effect, it made lugging the strobe around (without an assistant) completely worth it. The theme for this shoot was more of a color scheme… watercolors 🙂

The lovely Colleen, a.k.a. “Mae Risque,” was in town from North Carolina for a friend’s wedding. She decided to work a session with me into her schedule, to further develop her modeling portfolio. Colleen came to this shoot with a fantastical vision and loads of talent, so needless to say I had a great time with this session!
