The first picture that I took of Stacey and Rob was when I was photographing their friend’s wedding. I captured an image of them sharing a romantic moment on the dance floor, and they loved it so much that they booked me for their own wedding!
These two are absolutely adorable together, they smiled every time their eyes met. Our session was very natural and fun, almost as if we were hanging out as friends. I cannot wait for their wedding next year at the Newport Aquarium!

Here’s a shoot that I’ve been wanting to do since last Summer, and didn’t get around to it until this August. 🙂 I took a few of my favorite mermaid-esque models, along with my creative partner-in-crime Sarah Crain, to the beach at Hueston Woods. We layered a literal ton of shiny tulle and netting on our models to create a beautiful tail.
Hair and Makeup (and let’s be honest: most of the tail crafting lol): Sarah Crain
Taylor DiazMercado (our Pacific/cold water mermaid)
Katie Feeney (our Atlantic/warm water mermaid)
I was extremely excited to get a beauty dish for my strobe, a light modifier that I had never used before. This was my first time using a strobe outdoors, as well. I have to say that I absolutely love the effect, it made lugging the strobe around (without an assistant) completely worth it. The theme for this shoot was more of a color scheme… watercolors 🙂

The lovely Colleen, a.k.a. “Mae Risque,” was in town from North Carolina for a friend’s wedding. She decided to work a session with me into her schedule, to further develop her modeling portfolio. Colleen came to this shoot with a fantastical vision and loads of talent, so needless to say I had a great time with this session!

This past July, I was honored to have a few photographers book me for boudoir. It’s always immensely flattering when someone familiar with the art chooses me to capture them! This one, Heather Luker of Heather J Photography, gave me permission to share highlights from her shoot as well. It was so nice meeting her ❤

After playing with my 35mm with Madeline, I was definitely down to do it again… I also didn’t hit all the spots around the area that I wanted to. I wandered the suburbs around my house once again with Stacey (Ai Tenshi Misha) — her boyfriend came along to assist. It was a good day.
A few months ago, I photographed the gorgeous Shannon Markesbery of Heyman Talent Agency at Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati. I wanted to do a shoot inspired by Gibson Girl beauty. The talented Sarah Crain did hair and makeup for this shoot. This set was featured by Lucy’s Magazine as a webitorial as well!
