This was actually my first “Goddess” themed shoot! I thought the gorgeous Kat was perfect to embody Nyx, the beautiful and mysterious goddess of night.
(Nerdy fact: I especially love Nyx… because she was the final boss in Persona 3. Don’t judge.)
I used my husband’s DJ lighting to light the shoot. I did it all by myself, you guys! Lol
Images from this shoot were featured in Issue #15 of Giuseppina Magazine 😀

(If you’re wondering why I finally have a good artistic sounding name for a series, it’s because I mopped it from the model! I’m not so good at naming things! Lol)
Jill and I decided to do a watery photo shoot at the crack of dawn. I… LOVE… morning light. It’s like a dream. I’m not typically a morning person, but I adore early morning photo shoots. Gah.

This shoot is another in my series of models depicting ancient Greek deities. After working with Taylor once, watching her brave nature, climb trees, and hang almost upside down on logs, (all very willingly and somehow even gracefully!) I felt she would be a great model to serve some Artemis realness! Artemis is the goddess of the hunt, and is often depicted with images of the moon.
This shoot was featured in the September issue of Visual Artistry Magazine. Yay!

I always get excited when my husband (a DJ) purchases new lighting for events. I haven’t yet invested in my own lighting, but sometimes I do get to play with his!
For this shoot, my husband manually controlled the lighting effects with a DMX controller as well as a playstation controller…

I recently had the pleasure of photographing Felicia and Seth’s wedding, along with my wonderful second shooter Joyce Anne Honigford! Here are some highlights from the event. 🙂
My husband is/was the lead singer for In-Rage — the band was at the house practicing for a reunion show while a model was getting her hair and makeup done. We did a quick photo shoot in the alley behind our house. It was a very sunny day, but the shade from the buildings provided several great places to shoot!
The reunion show is tomorrow!! :))) I can’t wait!
Wow, I have a ton of catching up to do on my blog!!
I recently did a lifestyle session for my cousin and her fiancee’s precious newborn boy! I loved documenting real, precious moments for the family. 🙂
